John T. McCauley was hired as a regional executive and managing director for the Houston office.

In a statement, G. Haig Ariyan, a managing director and head of private client services said, “John’s expertise and proven track record will help us build upon our success.”

McCauley worked at UBS for 20 years, according to FINRA filings. He previously held a series of senior management positions. Prior to his move to Deutsche, McCauley’s most recent title was national head of talent management for private wealth management at UBS’s Dallas office.  In addition, he performed duties under the same title at a satellite office in Nashville. He had served as managing director of the UBS private wealth management office in Houston.

In his new role, McCauley will report to Ariyan and his responsibilities include supervising the overall performance and growth of everyday activities at the Houston branch.

“He will focus on the development and cultivation of relationships within the high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client segments,” Deutsche said in a statement.

McCauley is a certified financial planner. Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown is the private client services division of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., which is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG.
