Sonya Park has been named regional director of client services for Dimensional Fund Advisors. Park is not replacing anyone at the firm as the position is new at Dimensional.
Park will be responsible for working primarily with Dimensional's large institutional clients, said Tracy Williams, a spokeswoman for the firm. Of the firm's more than $35 billion in mutual fund assets under management, around 75% comes from institutional clients, Williams said.
Park most recently served as associate director of corporate financing for Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where she evaluated potential corporate transactions. Before that, she served as an equity research analyst at Lehman Brothers.
