Dow will offer the Dow 10, known as the "Dogs of the Dow", and Dow 5 Indexes which measure the ten highest yielding stocks on the Dow and the five lowest priced stocks of the Dow 10, respectively.
Demand for investment products based on the indexes prompted Dow to publish official indexes, said Michael Petronella, managing director of Dow Jones Indexes. The company will begin publishing a daily watch list for the new indexes beginning Dec. 20, the company said.
