Dreyfus Funds To Be Offered at Citizens Bank

Dreyfus Funds will be offered at Citizens Bank branches in New England and the mid-Atlantic states through Citizens’ broker-dealer Citizens Financial Services. Dreyfus is a subsidiary of Mellon Financial Corp., which recently agreed to sell its retail and small-business banking businesses to Citizens.

Citizens has made available to its customers nearly 70 fund families’ offerings, including Putnam, Fidelity Investments and MFS.

Citizens Financial Group, which is headquartered in Providence, R.I., is a subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and operates 330 retail and commercial lending offices. When the deal to buy Mellon’s banking business closes next month, the company will add 345 branches in Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and part of Delaware to the branches in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
