DWS Scudder Launches Two Global Funds

DWS Scudder, a division of Deutsche Asset Management, has launched two global funds to capitalize on the firms' global network.

The DWS International Value Opportunities Fund will invest in large-cap value stocks outside the U.S. with a stable record of profitability. Klaus Kaldemorgen, global head of equities at Deutsche Asset Management, will lead the portfolio team.

The DWS RREEF Global Real Estate Securities Fund will invest in real estate investment trusts in the U.S. and abroad, looking for funds that pay dividends and that have a strong potential to appreciate in value. The fund combines a top-down asset allocation process to determine which regions it will invest in, and then uses a bottom-up approach to selecting securities. John Robertson, global portfolio manager, will serve as manager of the fund.

"The addition of DWS International Value Opportunities Fund and DWS RREEF Global Real Estate Securities Fund to the DWS product line-up offers U.S. investors the experience and global perspective of two of Deutsche Asset Management's most successful businesses: DWS and RREEF," said Axel Schwarzer, CEO of DWS Scudder.
