Emerging Global Advisors Taps UBS’ Vet For CEO Post

Asset management company Emerging Global Advisors has added former UBS Wealth Management Americas executive Marten S. Hoekstra as its new chief executive.

As CEO, Hoekstra replaces Emerging Global Advisors founder Robert Holderith, who now serves as president.

Hoekstra most recently served as chief executive of UBS Wealth Management Americas and member of UBS’ group executive board.

Emerging Global Advisors, based in Ridgewood, N.J., focuses on emerging market investments and is an advisor to the EGShares exchange-traded funds, which aim to limit market exposure by investing in sectors or themes. The firm currently manages nine ETF products for the energy, financial, mining and minerals sectors and Brazil, China and India infrastructures.
