Ennis Leaves Evergreen CEO Post

William Ennis, previously president and chief executive officer of Evergreen Investments, will join Morgan Stanley’s investment management division as president of global services, including sales, distribution and operations. The division has $421 billion in assets under management.

Ennis will report to Morgan Stanley Investment Management President and Chief Operating Officer Mitchell Merin. Ennis had overseen Evergreen, which has $235 billion in assets, since 1994.

In his new position, Ennis will oversee institutional and retail intermediary sales, operations and nonproprietary business through Van Kampen Investments.

"Bill is an industry leader with a successful track record of building high-quality investment management businesses," Merin said in a statement. "He adds depth and experience to Investment Management, and we are happy he is joining our team."
