ETF Assets Rise 9.4% in October

Assets in exchange-traded funds rose 9.4% in October to $383.3 billion, up from $350.3 billion the month before, according to data from the Investment Company Institute.

Year-to-date, assets have risen 29% from $296 billion at the end of last year, and over the past 12 months, assets have risen 45.3%.

There are now a total of 315 ETFs. Of these, 228 track U.S. stock indexes, 81 track international stock indexes and six track bond indexes.
