The Managed Funds Association has elected Adam Cooper, the senior managing director and general counsel of Citadel Investment Group, to be its chairman.
Cooper succeeds Samuel S. Weiser, founder of Foxdale Management, as the association's chairman, according to John G. Gaine, president. Cooper
was elected to the board in September after being an appointed director on the Washington trade group's board since November 2000.
The Managed Funds Association represents professionals who specialize in alternative investment strategies.
