Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss (BHMS) has announced the addition of Deborah Petruzzelli to its fixed income team as portfolio manager for asset-backed, commercial mortgage-backed and mortgage-backed securities. In addition to portfolio management responsibilities, Petruzzelli will assume an active role in portfolio strategy and client service.

John Williams, chief investment officer of BHMS' fixed income group, stated, "The firm is pleased to have such an experienced investment professional join the team. Barrow Hanley is a Dallas-based investment management firm founded in 1979. The firm specializes in value equity and fixed income management for institutional investors nationwide. The firm currently has $24 billion under management, including assets it manages for Vanguard Group's Windsor II and Selected Value mutual funds.
