Philip L. Kirstein recently came out of a brief retirement to join the investment management practice at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart. Kirstein was previously general counsel and senior vice president for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
"Having spent more than 20 years in-house at Merrill Lynch, I'm excited to be re-entering private practice at K&L," Kirstein said in a statement. After joining Merrill in 1980, he retired from the firm this past March. He has also served as a director and a member of the executive committee of the ICI Mutual Insurance Co.
"Phil is an outstanding addition to our investment management practice," Robert J. Zutz, a leader in the practice, said in a statement.
