Ibbotson Associates recently promoted Peng Chen to managing director and Jerry Korabik and Daryl Lucas to vice president. Chen heads Ibbotson's research department; Korabik leads the educational training group; and Lucas manages software development for the company's key product offerings.
Since joining Ibbotson in 1997, Chen has been instrumental in enhancing the company's reputation for intellectual capital. With his leadership, the research group has filed three patents for new techniques. Korabik, who joined Ibbotson in 2000 from PricewaterhouseCoopers, has managed the educational training department. He will now expand that role to manage Web-based training. Lucas has been with Ibbotson since 1998, when he came on board from Livingstone Corp. as a Microsoft Office connectivity specialist. He was promoted to software engineer in 2000.
