BISYS Fund Services Hires Giannone, Miskel as VPs

BISYS Fund Services has hired David J. Giannone and Joseph A. Miskel, Jr. as vice presidents of global business development.

Giannone, who has nearly 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently worked as vice president of sales at TSS, a real estate management company. When he worked in finance, Dreyfus, Alger Funds and Boston Financial Data Services were among his employers.

Miskel has worked in institutional investment sales and marketing for 16 years, most recently at SEI Investments. He also worked for a number of years at Merrill Lynch in the capital markets, asset management and retirement groups.

"We are very fortunate to have these gentlemen add their multi-dimensional talents and strengths to our sales team," said Jylanne Dunn, executive vice president of global business development, to whom Giannone and Miskel now report. "They will be instrumental in helping to bring BISYS' core fund outsourcing services and innovative solutions to our global marketplace."

Bonner Becomes VP, Wholesaler for Franklin

Franklin Templeton Investments has hired Robert A. Bonner, Jr. as a vice president and wholesaler for its New York Stock Exchange channel, covering Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

Bonner, who has 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, comes to the firm from MFS Investment Management, where he was a regional vice president.

"Rob's extensive wholesaling experience and financial services industry knowledge is an excellent complement to our team," said Dan Grip, divisional sales manager for the Northeast division of the New York Stock Exchange channel. "We are excited to have someone with a fresh perspective and a great deal of experience who'll maintain strong relationships and develop new ones."

Dierker Joins Diamond Hill Equity Investment Team

Diamond Hill Investment Group has hired William C. Dierker as a portfolio manager with the equity investment team. In his new role, Dierker will serve as a co-portfolio manager of the firm's select mutual funds and separately managed portfolios.

Dierker has worked as a portfolio manager for more than 17 years, including five years at Nationwide Insurance.

"We are very pleased that Bill has joined our investment team," commented Chuck Bath, managing director of equities at Diamond Hill. "He shares our investment philosophy, and I know from personal experience that he is an excellent investor."

Trusco Capital Taps Parikh As EVP, Investment Chief

Trusco Capital Management has hired Ashi S. Parikh as executive vice president and chief investment officer of equities, in charge of a team of more than 50 investment professionals. In the 15 years he has worked in the financial services industry, Parikh has focused on equity portfolio management and research. He joins the firm from Eagle Institutional Growth Advisors, a division of Eagle Asset Management, where he was chief investment officer. Before that, he was with Banc One as managing director.
