Fidelity Promotes Johnson To Oversee All Distribution

Fidelity has promoted Abigail Johnson, president of personal and workplace investing, to president, personal, workplace and institutional services-effectively in charge of all distribution channels, and hired BNY Asset Management President and CEO Ronald P. O'Hanley to head asset management and corporate services.

As the two report to Fidelity Chairman and CEO Edward C. Johnson 3rd, the $1.5 trillion fund giant has apparently set a succession plan for "Ned" Johnson, who turns 80 on June 29.

The 48-year-old Johnson and her father own the company, founded in 1949 by her grandfather, Edward C. Johnson II.

O'Hanley has been with Mellon since 1997, where he has also served as vice chairman of Mellon Financial. Replacing O'Hanley at BNY Mellon on an interim basis are Jonathan Little, vice chair, and Mitchell Harris, head of the currency and bond unit in the asset management division.

BNY Mellon Adds Gould, Archer to L.A. Team

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has added Spencer Gould and Kimberlea Archer to its Los Angeles operations.

Gould joins as senior director, and Archer joins as director for new business development. Both report to Tracy Nickl, managing director of the firm's southern California region.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Gould served as a managing director for Fiduciary Trust Company International. The London native earned his bachelor's degree in international affairs from the American Universityof Paris.

Archer previously worked for US Trust, Bank of America's wealth management business. Prior to that, she worked in Deutsche Bank's investment banking, brokerage and corporate business development divisions.

Wilmington Trust Names Gore As Wealth Advisor

Wilmington Trust has hired Lawrence E. Gore as managing director and senior private client advisor in the company's Wealth Advisory Services business. He will work in the firm's New York office.

Prior to joining Wilmington, Gore served as senior vice president and managing director of Herald National Bank, where he headed wealth management operations. He began his career at J.P. Morgan and recently served as managing director and head of corporate and executive services at UBS Financial Services.

Gore received an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Pace University.

kasina Selects Daugherty As Firm's Third Principal

kasina has named its Resident Intellect and Director of Research Eric Daugherty to the additional title of principal, joining fellow principals CEO Steven Miyao and co-founder Lee Kowarski.

"Eric has made a decisive impact on the quality of research and thought leadership at kasina since he joined the firm one year ago," Miyao said. "Eric has been instrumental in growing our overall business and has been acting as a leader and partner for quite a while now. Having him as a principal merely formalizes that."

As part of the leadership team, Daugherty will collaborate with Miyao and Kowarski on kasina's short- and long-term strategy.

Daugherty joined kasina from The Vanguard Group, where he was a principal and led the fund giant's retail advice services group. He is a graduate of Lehigh University and Wharton.
