PFPC Worldwide Promotes COO Wynne to President

PFPC Worldwide has appointed Stephen M. Wynne, a 25-year veteran of the company, as president, in charge of the firm's operations across the globe. He will report to Chairman and CEO Timothy B. Shack. Wynne most recently was executive vice president and chief operating officer, overseeing client advocacy and securities services.

"Steve brings an unwavering commitment to excellence in client service and a vast knowledge of the financial services industry to this leadership position at PFPC," Shack said.

CPI Qualified Plan Names Veteran to New Sales Post

CPI Qualified Plan, a 401(k) administrative and recordkeeping firm, has created a national sales director position in its marketing department and named company veteran Kendall Chance to fill it. Chance most recently was CPI's Midwest regional manager. Throughout his 13-year career at CPI, Chance has helped design, install and administer qualified retirement plans.

Before joining CPI, Chance worked for 15 years at the United States Postal Service. After that, he obtained his series seven license from the National Association of Securities Dealers. He has also worked for Firm One Securities and Venture Resource Associates.

Wellington Exec Waldie Joins IXIS' Legal Team

Lisa Waldie, a veteran with almost 20 years of experience in the financial service industry, has been named vice president, compliance manager and counsel for IXIS Asset Management. In her new position, the former Wellington Management executive will work in the IXIS enterprise compliance program, which the company is emphasizing amid recent regulatory changes.

"In today's environment of increased regulatory scrutiny, compliance remains a top priority for IXIS, and we are confident that Lisa's extensive experience in this area will be a tremendous asset to the firm," said Beverly J. DeWitt, SVP and senior compliance officer at IXIS.

During her 16 years at Wellington, Waldie worked most recently in compliance, but previously in portfolio management and also securities trading.

Lord, Abbett Taps Schieber As Internal Sales Director

Lord, Abbett has promoted Paul Schieber to director of internal wholesaling. In the position, Schieber will coordinate activities among several Lord, Abbett departments, including institutional and separately managed accounts, with the internal desk.

Schieber came to Lord, Abbett from Merrill Lynch in 1996 and has worked on the West coast for the company, most recently as a regional manager.

"Appointing Paul is a strategic step toward delivering the firm's resources to financial advisers in more concerted and effective ways," said Bob Noelke, Lord, Abbett's director of national sales and a partner in the firm.

ICI Hires Mercer Exec for Government Affairs Post

The Investment Company Institute has hired Leslie Beth Kramerich as government affairs officer for retirement security and tax policy, reporting to Dan Crowley, chief government affairs officer at the ICI. Most recently, Kramerich served for two years as a principal with Mercer Human Resources, providing legislative and regulatory strategic expertise to clients.
