Nuveen Hires Richter for Chief Administrative Post
Glenn Richter has been named chief administrative officer of Nuveen Investments, a newly established position that he will assume at the end of the month, created as a result of Nuveen's recent growth and future development efforts.
Richter comes to the firm from RR Donnelley, where he is executive vice president. Before that, he was with Sears. He also held finance and strategy positions at Dade Behring, PepsiCo. and McKinsey.
"Glenn brings a range of corporate experiences and perspectives that should contribute meaningfully to our continuing reinvestment in several business platforms as a result of our significant growth over the past several years," said Tim Schwertfeger, Nuveen chairman and CEO. Kneeley Joins Brandywine As Managing Partner
Brandywine Global Investment Management, a subsidiary of Legg Mason, has hired Stephen J. Kneeley as a managing partner. In this position, Kneeley will be responsible for all business-related aspects of the firm's activities, including the overall management of Brandywine's growing business worldwide.
"Having someone with Stephen's track record of excellence join Brandywine Global is a significant achievement for the firm," said Henry Otto, Brandywine managing director and chairman of the executive committee. "His background in building and running asset management companies is critical to helping us continue to manage our growth, build our business around the world and serve our clients.
Kneeley comes to the firm from Ardmore Investment Partners, which he founded in 2004. He started his career with The Travelers Cos. in 1985, as vice president of sales. He was one of the founding partners of Turner Investment Management, where he was responsible for many business lines, including mutual funds. He also oversaw Turner's entry into separately managed accounts and was instrumental in helping the firm to expand its global distribution to Europe, the Middle East and Australia.

Davidoff Now a Partner With Stroock & Stroock
Sarah Davidoff has joined Stroock & Stroock & Lavan's investment management practice group as a partner.
"Sarah's extensive knowledge of the investment management industry and experience in the formation and representation of hedge funds, private equity funds and funds-of-funds coincides with our clients' growing need for counsel in these disciplines," said Thomas E. Heftler, Stroock co-managing partner.
Davidoff comes to Stroock from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, which is based in New York. Prior to joining Skadden in 2000, she was an associate at Seward & Kissel.
