Hancock Selects Longfritz To Head New Income Unit

Having created a new unit that will focus on retirement income and rollover solutions, using products and services from its wealth management businesses, John Hancock has named David Longfritz its senior vice president and general manager.

Longfritz was previously senior vice president, marketing, for John Hancock Annuities. Before that, he was a financial adviser with Merrill Lynch for more than seven years and, before that, spent 10 years in consumer packaged goods marketing, most notably with Procter & Gamble.

"I expect we will hit the ground running, thanks to a key group of talented managers who have already started to lay the strategic groundwork for this new unit."
