Fidelity Introduces New Int'l Small-Cap Equity Fund

Fidelity Investments has just launched a new international small-cap equity fund, designed to provide investors and financial advisers with an opportunity to capitalize on the growth potential of smaller, less-well-known companies in non-U.S. market.

Fidelity normally invests at least 80% of assets in securities of companies with market capitalization of less than $5 billion at the time of purchase.

"International Small Cap Opportunities will provide investors the opportunity to fill a specific niche of their portfolio by investing in non-U.S. small-cap companies," according to John Sweeney, senior vice president of mutual fund product management, Fidelity Personal Investments.
