Fidelity, Julius Baer, Dodge & Cox Receive Morningstar Top Honors

Morningstar has named managers at Fidelity, Julius Baer and at Dodge & Cox as fund managers of 2002.

Joel Tillinghast, manager of the Fidelity Low-Priced Stock fund, received honors as Domestic Stock Fund Manager of the Year. Rudolph Riad-Younes and Richard Pell, of the Julius Baer International Equity fund, received honors as International Stock Fund Managers of the Year. And the management team of the Dodge & Cox Income fund took down the prize as Fixed-Income Managers of the Year.

"Two thousand and two was one of the most challenging years for mutual fund managers, but one where rigorous analysis and disciplined investing paid off," said Russ Kinnel, director of fund analysis at Morningstar.

Morningstar established its fund manager of the year awards program in 1988. The awards are selected by the firm’s editorial staff.
