Fidelity Investments of Boston has filed a preliminary proxy statement

with the Securities and Exchange Commission seeking to name Abigail Johnson a trustee of the firm's Select Portfolios.

If approved by shareholders, the number of directors for the funds would grow from 12 to 14. The proxy also seeks to name William S. Stavropoulos as the other trustee. No other changes to the board's membership are recommended, according to the proxy.
