Ford Motor Co. has started using Fidelity's PortfolioPlanner, an online retirement planning service for Fidelity's 401(k) clients. There are now 275,000 people who use PortfolioPlanner, which was created last summer. Ford added 145,000 people.
PortfolioPlanner helps participants make decisions about asset allocation, allows them to forecast how much they need to save for retirement, and enables them to see the holdings of each of their funds. Ford's 401(k) plan offers 55 funds and Ford common stock.
