Former Wachovia Exec Joins TD Ameritrade as Practice Management Director

TD Ameritrade Institutional announced Monday it hired Christine Gaze as its new director of practice management.

Gaze will be in charge of developing and executing the strategic direction of all its advisor practice management and business consulting services.

Gaze, who has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, will focus on building and maintaining TDAI’s array of practice management programs designed to help independent RIAs, according to the company.

Before joining TD Ameritrade, she worked at Wachovia Securities, where she consulted with advisors to help them improve productivity and bring in new business. Gaze had also been an executive director at Morgan Stanley Private Bank, where she led new business development initiatives that helped advisors focus on cultivating relationships with high-net-worth investors.

“Christine … spent the last decade researching best practices of top advisory teams, sharing insights and coaching financial advisors to take their businesses to the next level,” says Zohar Swaine, managing director, product and strategy, TD Ameritrade Institutional. “The depth and breadth of her experience gives her a unique perspective on the daily challenges and opportunities facing TD Ameritrade Institutional’s advisor clients.”
