In an effort to expand its online presence across the industry,
Darrell Davis will serve as the company's chief technology officer and will oversee technology supporting all of the firm's business units, including its mutual fund, managed account and separately managed account platforms.
Forward executives hope Davis will help the firm expand its technology and Internet enterprises and bolster its reputation as such, the company said in a statement.
Davis previously served as chief technology officer and an executive VP at Morgan Stanley Online, where he researched and developed new products.
