Franklin Resource's Earnings Rise 34%

Franklin Resources reported that its earnings for its first fiscal quarter ended Dec. 31 rose 34% to $426.8 million from $318 million in 2005.

The company also said that revenue rose 21% to $1.4 billion and that assets under management rose 19% to $552.9 billion.
