Financial Research Corporation has hired Darby Hobbs as senior VP of business development, and incorporated the services of Graylyn Associates, of which Hobbs is founder and president. Graylyn is a consulting firm for financial services firms with a focus on the mutual funds sector.

Hobbs will be responsible for all of FRC’s marketing, product development and sales. She began working with FRC in 1999, when FRC and Graylyn entered into a marketing agreement to launch an industry conference on strategic planning. Since then, she has worked with FRC on numerous initiatives.

Hobbs founded Graylyn in 1996. The firm provides several industry publications and provides conferences and networking and education services to marketing and strategic planning professionals in the investment management community. Those services will be incorporated into FRC’s.

Lisa Cambell, editor of Graylyn’s publications, also joined FRC as a senior research analyst. Initially, she will work on the assimilation of Graylyn’s products and services into FRC’s.
