Gartmore Global Investments has hired Wilson Santos as EVP of distribution, reporting to president and CEO D. Bruce Johnston. As one of the first to bring registered hedge funds to market, Santos joins Gartmore from Montgomery Asset Management, where he served as EVP and chief marketing officer.
During his tenure at Montgomery, Santos was responsible for sales, marketing and product development for institutional, intermediary and individual clients. He also founded Montgomery Partners. Prior to that, Santos served as chief customer officer at Scudder Weisel Capital, and as EVP at Dreyfus Investments.
Santos has also held executive management positions at Fidelity Investments, Bear Stearns and Transamerica Corp.
