Hancock Hires Team To Cover Mid-Atlantic Sales

John Hancock Funds has hired three business development consultants as well as two wholesalers in an effort to drive sales in the mid-Atlantic region.

The firm has hired Christopher Finch and Gregory LaVersa as regional VPs and outside business development consultants. They will cover New York and New Jersey.

James Baker was hired as the regional managing director of the firm's private client group. He will develop business contacts for separate accounts.

Douglas Lyons and David White will serve as inside wholesalers. Lyons will cover the New York metro area and White will cover North Carolina.

Separately, Hancock also hired Thomas Norton as a vice president and portfolio manager of mid-capitalization stocks. Norton will co-manage the John Hancock Mid Cap Growth Fund with Paul Berlinguet, head of large-cap and mid-cap growth.
