Hartford Investment Management Appoints President

David Znamierowski has been named president of Hartford Investment Management, a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group. He will also serve as the subsidiary’s chief investment officer.

Previously, Znamierowski was director and president of the Hartford Funds and chief investment officer of The Hartford’s life operations.

The appointment brings all of the firm’s investment functions under one executive, said Ramani Ayer, CEO of the company. Znamierowski will oversee all of Hartford Investment Management’s worldwide investment operations, which include more than $70 billion in assets under management.

Prior to joining The Hartford in 1996, Znamierowski held multiple positions at Aetna Life and Casualty Co., including VP of investment strategy and policy. Before that, he served as VP of corporate finance for Salomon Brothers.
