Hedge Funds Expect SEC to Revisit Registration

Hedge funds must reshape themselves to regain investors’ trust and continue to grow, speakers at the Managed Funds Association Forum this week said.

Either the Securities and Exchange Commission or Washington will require them to register and to provide transparency, hedge fund executives said.

Separate from that, the industry might need to lower fees and ease redemption restrictions in order to attract investors’ assets.
