Hennessy Acquires Two Japan Funds

Hennessy Advisors has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of two Japan funds with a combined $65 million in assets, the SPARX Japan Fund and the SPARX Japan Smaller Companies Fund.

Upon completion of the transaction the funds will be renamed the Hennessy Select SPARX Japan Fund and the Hennessy Select SPARX Japan Smaller Companies Fund. Hennessy will be the investment advisor to the funds and SPARX Asset Management will be sub-advisor.
