Hotchkis and Wiley Capital Management of Los Angeles today named Kent Grether managing director of institutional marketing, focusing primarily on the consultant and plan sponsor channels in the western half of the U.S.

Grether joins the value shop from Anchorage-based McKinley Capital Management where he was the director of institutional marketing in charge of marketing to plan sponsors and institutional investment consultants. Prior to that, Grether worked for PacificCorp, where he oversaw six investment trusts with a total of $6 billion in assets.

In early January, Hotchkis and Wiley named Pat McMenamin managing director of institutional marketing in charge of the eastern half of the U.S.
