HSBC Private Bank has appointed George Crosby, head of the Brazil team, president of HSBC Private Bank International. He will oversee all activities covering the Latin American markets in the U.S. and will be based in Miami, the bank announced in a press release.
In his previous role as Group Head for Brazil at HSBC Private Bank International, Crosby managed a team of bankers in Miami and New York. He has more than 28 years of international private banking experience and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, according to HSBC.
Prior to joining HSBC in 2004 as head of the Brazil team, Crosby served as head of ABN Amros Miami and Latin America segments. Before that, he was managing director of Brazilian bank Bank Itau Europa, based in Luxembourg.
George Crosby brings an extraordinary depth of private banking experience to this critically important role, Marlon Young, head of HSBC Global Private Banking Americas, said in a statement. His leadership will be a great asset to HSBC as we enhance our focus on the needs of our clients in this dynamic region and continue to grow both our international presence and the important high-net-worth customer segments.
