Carly McKeeman, a former vice president at Evercore, joined HSBC as philanthropic and family governance specialist. She is based in New York and reports to Heather Flanagan, regional head of Private Wealth Solutions for HSBC Private Banking, Americas, the bank said in an announcement.

As part of the bank’s effort, McKeeman will partner with leaders across HSBC’s global private wealth solutions group to boost the bank’s local capabilities in philanthropic planning.

While at Evercore, McKeeman worked with ultrahigh-net-worth families and their outside advisors on investment management and fiduciary planning matters for more than two years. Prior to that, she held positions as an associate at Fiduciary Trust Company International and as associate director of Planned and Major Gifts at Columbia Law School.

HSBC touted Mckeeman’s extensive charitable planning and administration experience, saying it will be instrumental in developing the kinds of services that wealthy clients seem to be looking for. “Our clients are more frequently asking for family governance services and Carly’s deeply engrained experience and skillset will help bring our offering to a superior level of service in this growing area,” Flanagan said in a statement.
