ICI Taps Auerbach as a Financial Director

Donald C. Auerbach, a veteran of both Capitol Hill and the financial services industry, has been named director of financial services policy at the Investment Company Institute, the organization announced Monday.

After five years working for Democratic New York Representative Carolyn Maloney as an advisor for her duties as a Financial Services Committee member, Auerbach will take over the ICI’s responsibilities that deal with appearing before Congress and other federal government officials.

"Don’s knowledge of financial services issues, his familiarity with the House Financial Services Committee and Capitol Hill are tremendous assets," said ICI Government Affairs Officer Dan Crowley.

Auerbach, who has his bachelor’s from UCLA and law degree from American University in Washington, has also worked on the National Committee for an Effective Congress and for Federal Financial Analytics, formerly ISD/Shaw, Inc.
