Independent B-D National Planning Hires Two Recruiters

National Planning Corporation has expanded its new business development team by hiring two new full-time recruiters. That doubles the size of the recruiting team at the independent broker-dealer, according to a company statement.

One new hire, Scott Montgomery, was previously senior vice president of business development at FirstPoint Partners, a financial advisor consulting and recruiting firm, and also had spent nine years recruiting at LPL Financial.

The second, Keith Mistretta, was previously senior vice president of business development for First Allied Securities, and has more than 18 years of experience as a financial advisor in addition to 13 years of experience recruiting for independent broker-dealers, National Planning said in its statement.

National Planning has more than 1,500 affiliated financial representatives across the U.S., and is one of four firms in the National Planning Holdings network. National Planning Holdings, in turn, is a broker-dealer holding company and an affiliate of Jackson National Life Insurance. The other three independent broker-dealers in the National Planning Holdings network are: Invest Financial, Investment Centers of America and SII Investments. The entire network has 3,644 registered representatives.
