Morgan Stanley Smith Barney has hired former Wells Fargo Advisors Managing Director Richard Frick as the new complex manager for Philadelphia.
Frick joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney last week, replacing Frank LaRosa, who was discharged in May following an investigation into his conduct while employed at the firm.
Frick most recently served as managing director at Wells Fargo heading the New York City market from 2005 through 2010. He has served for ten years at Wells Fargo, Wachovia and Prudential Securities.
Frick has previously worked in Pennsylvania, having opened a new Prudential office in Newtown in 2000 and started his career with Salomon Smith Barney in as a financial advisor in Philadelphia in 1995.
Frick reports to Drew Hawkins, manager for the New Jersey region who assumed responsibility for the Philadelphia and Jenkintown, Pa. complexes when the greater Philadelphia region was divided in May. That region’s division came after the departure its regional director Stephen Dimodica, first reported by On Wall Street in June.
