INVESCO Shakes Up Institutional Sales Team

INVESCO Institutional, the North American institutional division of AMVESCAP, said today that it has named a new head of sales and marketing and a new head of the firm’s third-party distribution.

Frank Keeler, who started with the firm in 1987, was promoted to head of sales and marketing, replacing Sam DeKinder, who will "step back from day to day management" of the sales and marketing group to focus on building a greater number of institutional relationships, the company said.

Keeler is currently head of INVESCO’s Northeast division. In his new role, he will report directly to John Rogers, CEO of INVESCO Institutional.

Tony Cox will become the head of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group, a unit that oversees the firm’s third-party distribution with banks, brokerage firms and insurance companies. Cox replaces Muffet Arroll who will leave to join AMVESCAP’s Group Services in an undetermined role, the company said.

Cox is currently the head of INVESCO defined contribution sales team. His experience "in the distribution of financial products will add to our management team," Rogers said, in a statement.

As of Sept. 30, INVESCO Institutional held over $108 billion in assets, according to the company.
