Jefferies Hires Head of Global FI Strategy

Jefferies has hired David Zervos as a managing director and head of global fixed income strategy. It is a new position at the firm.

Zervos was most recently a visiting advisor in the division of monetary affairs for the Federal Reserve in Washington, D.C. Prior to working for the Fed, he was a portfolio manager with Brevan Howard and UBS O’Connor, specializing in strategies for international macro investment. He had previously led mortgage and derivative strategy for Greenwich Capital Markets and worked for Swiss Bank in international fixed income strategy.

Zervos will be based at Jefferies' headquarters in New York and will report to Dan Markaity and Chris Bury, who head the firm's rates business.

Jefferies’ global head of fixed income, Tim Cronin, said Zervos’ addition illustrates the investment bank’s commitment to serving institutional clients.
