Diana Scott has been named senior VP of direct distribution for the retail sector at John Hancock Financial Services, the firm said last week. Nine other employees have been elected to senior offices. The decisions were made by the firm's board of directors in an ordinary company review, according to a spokesman. None of those who were promoted are replacing anyone at the company, the spokesman added.
Scott, who joined Hancock in 1998, most recently served as VP of e-business and retail partnerships for the firm. Included among her new responsibilities is leading the firm's business insurance group, which markets group life and long-term insurance.
The other nine employees who were elected to various VP positions are: Mark Ray, Wilma Davis, Richard Boutilier, Michael Dommeruth, Todd Engelsen, Wendy Benson, Stephen Blewitt, Kendall Hines and Colm Mullarkey.
