David Joy is now the vice president of capital markets for American Express Financial Advisors, a unit of American Express Co.
Joy was most recently at Pioneer Investments as senior vice president of global investment communications, where he was responsible for communicating the firm's investment strategy and market outlook. He has also worked for Prudential Investments, Massachusetts Financial Services and Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management.
"American Express has been aggressively putting the pieces in place to become a top-tier asset management company, and I'm excited about helping fulfill that mission," Joy said in a statement.
