JPMorgan Fund Services Moving to Larger Boston Office

JPMorgan Worldwide Securities Services, a division of JPMorgan Chase, will hire up to 100 new employees for its expanding Boston office over the next year.

The employees will be hired for all levels, from entry positions to vice presidents, said Daniel Kramer, global head of JPMorgan’s Fund Services. The employees will provide custody, accounting, investment operations and fund administrative services for mutual fund companies.

“We have seen significant growth in the area in the past year,” Kramer said. “Our clients are becoming more complex and we are expanding service so we have the right level of employees to service them,” he added.

The company has hired more than 150 employees over the past year in Boston, bringing the total number of employees to 450.

Additionally, the company recently signed a lease for new office space at 1 Beacon Street, across the street from its current location at 73 Tremont Street. The move will take place in July.

JPMorgan administers over $11.5 trillion in assets for asset managers and institutional investors globally. The fund services business provides a full range of services for investment managers and processes more than 30 million securities transactions a year.
