Julius Baer Announces Promotions

Julius Baer & Co. has promoted four executives in its institutional asset management group.

Glen Wisher was named managing director of Julius Baer Investment Management Inc., and Christian Yates, managing director of the firm’s London office.

The pair succeeded Jonathan Minter, who was both managing director and vice chairman of Julius Baer Investments Ltd. and Julius Baer Investment Management Inc. but stepped down Dec. 31. Minter will continue to work with the group as an external consultant.

Wisher had been director of fixed income in London and has worked at Julius Baer since 1995. Yates had worked at Chase Global Asset Management, where he headed the Middle East sales and marketing effort.

The firm also named Edward Dove chief investment officer of institutional asset management in London and Richard Pell chief investment officer in New York.

The promotions were announced Dec. 26.
