Michael E. Kenneally has joined Credit Suisse Asset Management as global chief executive officer. Kenneally was previously president of investment management and chief investment officer of Bank of America, as well as chairman and chief investment officer of Banc of America Capital Management.

Kenneally will report to Jeffrey M. Peek, vice chairman of the firm and head of its financial services division. As well, Kenneally will serve on Credit Suisse First Boston's executive board.

"Mike has held the most senior management and investment positions, appreciates the investment process and understands the asset management industry as a whole," Peek said in a statement.
