Lieb Takes on New Role at SEI

SEI Investments Co. EVP Richard Lieb will move to a new role at the asset management firm. After 11 years heading up the company's investment systems and services areas, Lieb will be responsible for strategic development of SEI's global technology and Internet transformation initiatives.

Additionally, Lieb was appointed a senior fellow at the SEI Center for Advanced Studies in Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He will study the e-transformation of businesses, the company said in a statement.

Lieb will be succeeded by Robert Crudup, who will head the private banking and trust area, and Wayne Withrow, who will head the money managers' business segment. Crudup has been with SEI for more than 14 years, most recently as head of trust services. Withrow started with SEI 12 years ago; for the past four years he was in charge of technology at SEI.

SEI, headquartered in Oaks, Penn., manages close to $80 billion in assets and administers more than $300 billion in mutual fund and pooled assets. The company has 25 offices in 11 countries.
