Lincoln Promotes Schoff to General Counsel

The board of directors of Lincoln National Corp., the parent company of Lincoln Financial Group, has promoted Dennis Schoff to senior VP and general counsel, the company said today.

Schoff previously served as a deputy general counsel and VP at the firm and, before joining Lincoln, worked in private practice with the Cincinnati law firm Taft, Stettinius & Hollister.

Lincoln chairman and CEO Jon Boscia said Schoff has "played a significant role during the past ten years in many of Lincoln's most strategic decisions, including leading the legal negotiations on our largest acquisitions and divestitures."

Schoff will monitor the legal services provided to Lincoln Financial Group's units. He will also revise the company's insider trading policies, Lincoln officials said.
