Lindner Picks Up Sub-Advisors on Two Funds

Lindner Asset Management of Deerfield, Ill. announced today that it has named sub-advisors for two of its mutual funds.
Gabelli Asset Management Co. will serve as the sub-advisor for the Lindner Communications Fund. The fund, which was previously managed internally at Lindner, has a year-to-date return of 14.54%, one-year return of 36.08%, and three-year annualized return of 13.02%, according to Morningstar.
"We see this as an opportunity to leverage Gabellis fundamental research approach and communications industry experience to build a diversified portfolio positioned to benefit from growth, restructuring, and consolidation in the industry," said Ivan Artega, a portfolio manager at Gabelli.
Standish Mellon Asset Management was named sub-advisor of the Lindner Market Neutral Fund, which also was without a sub-advisor previously. That fund has posted a year-to-date return of 1.68%, one-year return of 5.51%, and three-year annualized return of 4.42%, according to Morningstar.
