Manulife Uses Questionnaire to Develop SMA Portfolios

Manulife USA has added a new utility to Manulife Private Account, its separately managed account platform. The so-called proposal generator creates customized portfolios generated from a series of questions.

"High-net-worth clients want more upscale, personalized materials, especially when it concerns their finances. Recognizing this fact, our proposal generator allows financial consultants to work with their clients to develop a customized proposal that complements their overall wealth management strategy," said Mark Costantini, SVP and general manager.

The proposal generator also determines the best account for the client’s needs and presents a comparison between the proposed accounts and the client’s existing holdings. Advisers have the option of printing a copy of the proposal immediately or having a bound version shipped.
