Marsh & McLennan CFO to Resign in March

Marsh & McLennan Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sandra Wijnberg will be resigning in March, the company announced Monday.

MMC President and CEO Michael G. Cherkasky, praised Wijnberg in a statement, saying, "We greatly appreciate the substantial contributions she has made. With her skills, professionalism, and energy, she has added significant value to the company and led a first-class finance team."

Winjberg added, in a statement of her own, "Now that the company is well on the path to recovering from its recent challenges, I believe that it is the right time for me to explore the next stage of my professional career."

The 49-year-old executive, who spent the first 12 years of her career as an investment banker, has been with MMC for 5-1/2 years, and previously worked for Yum! Brands, PepsiCo and KFC.

"I am especially grateful for her wisdom and guidance during recent challenging months for MMC," Cherkasky continued.
