Siebert Financial said Robert P. Mazzarella has been elected to its board and as an independent member of its audit committee.
Mazzarella, retired president of Fidelity Brokerage Services, officially took control of the posts on the first of this month. His election to the board brings the number of members to seven, Siebert said.
Mazzarella, 57, has more than 33 years of experience in the securities industry and spent more than 18 years at Fidelity Investments. He also served as the president of Fidelity's institutional brokerage group before he retired in early 2001. Mazzarella previously worked at Bradford National Corp., where he was responsible for sales, marketing and product development.
