MetLife Adds New Unit for Intermediaries

MetLife of New York has announced the launching of MetLife Investors Group, a unit dedicated to serving intermediaries and their clients.

MetLife Investors will distribute a full line of financial products through financial planners, regional broker/dealers, and banks, according to MetLife. Initially, MetLife Investors will offer variable and fixed annuities but over the next year, it will expand its product line to include mutual funds and retirement plans, MetLife announced.

Jamie Shepherdson and Greg Brakovich will be co-CEOs of MetLife Investors Group, according to MetLife. MetLife Investors Group will operate out of Newport Beach, Calif.
